FEN VE TEKNOLOJİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN ÖĞRETİMDE KULLANDIKLARI YÖNTEM VE TEKNİKLERE İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı Fen ve Teknoloji dersi öğretmenlerinin öğrenme öğretme sürecinde kullandıkları yöntem ve tekniklerin kendi algıları doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Aydın ili merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarında çalışan 12 Fen ve Teknoloji öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Analiz sonucu elde edilen nitel bulgulara göre, Fen ve Teknoloji öğretmenleri derste anlaşılmayan durumlarda öncelikli olarak deney ve gözleme yer verdiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak Fen ve Teknoloji öğretmenlerinin tamamının (N=12) Fen ve Teknoloji dersinin öğretiminde en elverişli yöntemlerin deney ve tartışma, tekniklerin ise gözlem ve soru-yanıt olarak sıraladıkları söylenebilir.

EVALUATING THE OPINIONS OF SCIENCE TEACHERS ON TEACHING METHODS AND TECHNIQUES

The main purpose of this study is the evaluation of methods and techniques that Science and Technology teachers use during learning and teaching process according to their own perceptions. Qualitative research method and semi structured interview technique was used in the study. The participants of the study consisted of 12 Science and Technology teachers, working in primary schools in the city centre of Aydın. According to qualitative findings of analysis, Science and Technology teachers stated that they primarily use experimentation and observation when they encounter with a misunderstood situation in lesson. In conclusion, it can be said that all of Science and Technology teachers (N=12) sorted experimentation and argumentation as the most convenient methods, observation and question-answer as the most convenient techniques.
