Bu çalışma; Elazığ’da ki KOBİ’ lerin yenilik faaliyetlerine bakış açılarını tespit etmeyi amaçlayan bir alan araştırmasıdır. Araştırma sonucunda söz konusu işletmelerin yenilik eğilimlerinin olduğu ancak bu eğilimin yeterince değerlendirilemediği tespit edilmiştir. Yeniliğin KOBİ’lerin boyutlarını zorlamasının ve işletme yöneticilerinin yenilik konusunda sahip oldukları bilinci yeterince özümseyememelerinin, bu sonucu doğuran nedenler olabileceği düşünülmektedir.

The present study is a field research that aims to determine the perspectives of SMEs in Elazığ about innovation activities. The results of the study reveal that these enterprises do have tendencies towards innovation; however, these tendencies could not be sufficiently put into practice. This result is suggested to be caused by the fact that the sizes of SMEs put limits to innovation and enterprise managers fail to sufficiently internalize their consciousness for innovation.
