Yalnızca fiziksel bir yapı ortaya koymak olarak algılayamayacağımız mimarlık, insan etkinliğinin ve kültürün bir kalıtı olarak simgesel bir temsil de içermektedir. Mimarlık ürününün söyleminin anlaşılması ve böylelikle evrensel mimarlık bilgisinin ortaya konabilmesi ise mimarlığın hangi kavram ve disiplinler ile ilişkili olduğunun ve söz konusu ilişkiyi nasıl kurduğunun irdelenmesine bağlıdır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı, mimarlığın felsefe ile ilişkisinin Rönesans, 17. ve 18. Yüzyıl yapı örnekleri üzerinden irdelenmesini sağlayarak evrensel mimarlık bilgisinin elde edilmesine katkıda bulunmaktır.

Architecture does not mean only constructing buildings. It is also a symbol for human activity and culture. Understand the idea of architectural structure and introducing the universal architectural knowledge can be attained by probing the concepts related to architecture with the disciplines attached to these concepts and how these relationships have been established. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between architecture and philosophy assuming the constructions of renaissance, 17th and 18th century and contribute to universal architectural knowledge by this way.
