Bu çalışma, ilköğretim 6. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji müfredatında yer alan “Yer kabuğu nelerden oluşur” ünitesi ile ilgili kavramların anlaşılma düzeyinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaca yönelik olarak 6.sınıf öğrencileri için 15 adet çoktan seçmeli sorudan oluşan kavram testi geliştirilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin bu ünitedeki kavramları yanlış anlamalarının sebeplerini tespit etmek için likert tipi anket uygulanmıştır. Bu işlemler yapılırken demografik özellikleri dikkate alınmıştır. Anket sonuçları SPSS istatistik programları aracılığıyla analiz edilerek bulunmuştur. Başarı ve likert tipi anketler, Elazığ Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı, rast gele seçilmiş beş ilköğretim okulunun 6. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 371 öğrenciye, 2007–2008 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci yarısında uygulanmıştır. This study primary 6th Science and Technology in the classroom curriculum, "What is the earth’s crust made up of?" unit is about the level of understanding of the concept were to be determined. For this purpose the students 6th consists of 15 multiple-choice questions test the concept was developed. Moreover, the concepts of this unit the students to identify reasons for the misunderstandings of the Likert-type survey was carried out.
