Bu araştırmanın amacı, beden eğitimi öğretmen adaylarının temel psikolojik ihtiyaçlarının tespit edilmesidir. Bu amaçla beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenliği programlarında öğrenim gören toplam 223 (113 erkek, 110 bayan) beden eğitimi öğretmen adayına Temel Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; Beden eğitimi öğretmen adaylarının psikolojik doyum açısından, en yüksek ortalamayı ilişkilik boyutundan elde etmişlerdir. Beden eğitimi öğretmen adaylarının cinsiyet ve branş değişkenine göre psikolojik ihtiyaçlarında anlamlı farklılıklara rastlanırken spor düzeylerine göre psikolojik ihtiyaçlarında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.

The purpose of this study is to assign basic psychological needs of physical education teachers. Therefore, Basic Psychological Needs Scale has been applied to 223 (113 male, 110 female) preservice physical education teacher. According to acquired verities; from the point of psychological satisfaction, preservice physical education teachers have obtained the highest average from relatedness dimension. According to preservice physical education teachers’ sexuality and branch variables; meaningful differences have been found on their psychological needs on the other hand meaningful differences have not been found on their psychological needs according to their sport levels.
