TEKNOLOJİ DESTEKLİ LİNEER CEBİR ÖĞRETİMİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN GEOMETRİK DÜŞÜNME DÜZEYLERİNE ETKİSİ

Bu araştırmanın amacı, teknoloji destekli lineer cebir öğretiminin öğrencilerin Van Hiele geometrik düşünme düzeylerine etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın modeli ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deney desenidir. Araştırma, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Buca Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Matematik Eğitimi anabilim dalında öğrenim gören, 44’ü kontrol 41’i deney grubunda olmak üzere 85 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiş ve ölçme aracı olarak Van Hiele testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde, deney grubunda teknoloji destekli lineer cebir öğretimi, kontrol grubunda geleneksel öğretim yapılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde Mann-Whitney U Testi ve Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre kontrol ve deney grubundaki öğrencilerin Van Hiele geometrik düşünme düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farka rastlanmamıştır.

THE EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY ASSISTED LINEAR ALGEBRA INSTRUCTION ON STUDENTS' GEOMETRICAL THINKING LEVELS

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of technology assisted linear algebra instruction on students’ Van Hiele geometrical thinking levels. This work is an experimental study and the model of the research is designed based on a pretest-posttest control group model. The research is conducted with 85 students, 44 are in the control group and 41 are in the experiment group, 2. grade students of department of primary mathematics teacher of Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Educational Faculty, and the data are collected by Van Hiele geometrical thinking level test. Technology assisted instruction is used in the experiment group and traditional teaching method is used in the control group. In the research, Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test are used to analyze the data. According to results, there is no significant difference between the experiment and the control group with respect to Van Hiele geometrical thinking levels.
