FEN BİLGİSİ ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÖZ YETERLİK İNANÇLARININ ÇEŞİTLİ DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilköğretim fen bilgisi öğretmenliği bölümünde okumakta olan öğrencilerin fen öğretimine yönelik öz yeterlik inançlarını belirlemek, cinsiyet, öğretim türü, sınıf, mezun olunan lise türü ve okuduğu bölümü seçme nedenlerine göre öz yeterlik inançlarını incelemektir. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin öz yeterlik inanç düzeyleri cinsiyete ve mezun olunan okul türüne göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken, öğretim türü, sınıf düzeyi ve okuduğu bölümü seçme nedenlerine göre fark anlamlı bulunmuştur. Öz yeterlik inancı yüksek olan öğretmen adaylarının gelecekte feni öğretme konusunda daha istekli ve başarılı olacakları ön görülmektedir.

THE EXAMINATION OF PRESERVICE SCIENCE TEACHERS’ SELF EFFICACY BELIEFS WITH RESPECT TO DIFFERENT VARIABLES

The purpose of this study is to determine the self-efficacy belief of the students studying in primary school science and technology teaching department, towards science education and to examine their self-efficacy beliefs according to their gender, type of education, grade, type of graduated high school and the reasons why they chose their department. Survey method was used in the research. While students’ self - efficacy belief level does not show any difference according to gender and the type of high schools the students graduated from, meaningful difference was found according to type of education, their grades and the reasons why they chose their department. It is anticipated that the preservice teachers whose self-efficacy level is high will be more willing and successful in teaching science.
