İLKÖĞRETİM OKULU MÜDÜRLERİNİN ÖĞRETİM LİDERLİĞİ DAVRANIŞLARININ FARKLI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bu araştırma, okul müdürlerinin, öğretim liderliği davranışlarını ne düzeyde yerine getirdikleri sorusuna cevap aramakta ve okul müdürlerinin liderlik davranışlarının gelişimine katkı sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Araştırmada genel tarama modeli uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni; 2009–2010 öğretim yılında Niğde İlindeki tüm resmi ilköğretim okullarda görev yapan okul müdürleridir. Araştırmada toplamda 212 ilköğretim okulu müdürüne ölçek gönderilmiş; ancak, 198 adedi geri dönmüştür. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, ilköğretim okulu müdürleri öğretim liderliği davranışlarını genel olarak “çoğu zaman” şeklinde gerçekleştirmektedirler. Araştırmada, cinsiyet değişkeni açısından ilköğretim okul müdürlerinin öğretim liderliği davranışlarını gerçekleştirme açısından farklılık saptanmamıştır. Yönetim kıdemi, eğitim durumu, görev yapılan yerleşim birimi değişkenleri açısından farklılık saptanmıştır.

EVALUATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOURS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPALS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

The aim of this study is to identify instructional leadership behaviours of elementary school principals. This study is also aimed to develop the leadership behaviours of the school principals General survey model has been applied in this research and “the instructional leadership behaviours determanation scale” was used in the research. The study is based on the school principals working at elementary schools in Nigde in 2009-2010 education-instruction year. Totaly, 212 questionnaires were sent to the principals, but 198 of them returned. According to the findings obtained in the study, it can be said that elementary school principals fulfil the instructional leadership mostly. It was found out that there was not any significant difference amongst school principals in terms of gender variable. On the other hand, it was found that there was significant difference amongst school principals in relation to their managerial seniority, educational level, and their working places variables.
