Bu çalışma ebelik bölümü öğrencilerinin stres düzeyleri ve etkileyen demografik özellikleri incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma analitik ve kesitsel olarak 301 ebelik öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri; Demografik Bilgi Formu ve Algılanan Stres Ölçeği kullanılarak öğrencilerin öz bildirimlerine dayalı olarak sınıf ortamında toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; öğrencilerin algıladıkları stres düzeylerinin oldukça yüksek olduğu, öğrencilerin gelir durumları, en uzun süre yaşadıkları yer, aile yapıları ve öğrenim gördükleri bölüme isteyerek gelme durumlarının stres düzeyleri üzerinde etkili olan demografik özellikler olduğu görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlar ebelik eğitiminin öğrencilerin üzerinde stres oluşturan bir süreç olduğu, ayrıca öğrencilerin ailelerinin ekonomik ve yapısal özelliklerinin stres düzeyleri üzerinde etkili olan etmenler olduğunu göstermesi bakımından önemlidir.

This study was conducted to examine the stress levels of midwifery students and the demographic characteristics that affect their stress levels. The research was carried out analytically and cross-sectionally with 301 midwifery students. Research data; It was collected in the classroom environment based on students` self-reports using the Demographic Information Form and the Perceived Stress Scale. As a result of the research; It has been seen that the students` perceived stress levels are quite high, the students` income status, the place where they live for the longest time, their family structure and their willingness to come to the department where they study are demographic characteristics that affect their stress levels. These results are important in that they show that midwifery education is a stressful process on students, and that the economic and structural characteristics of students` families are factors that affect their stress levels.
