ÖZET Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin algılarının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modelinin uygulandığı araştırmada, öğretmenlerin öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin algılarını ölçmek amacıyla Şişman ve Acat (2003) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğretmenlik Mesleğine İlişkin Algı Ölçeği” ve “Öğretmen Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, ölçme aracının 2005–2006 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Kadıköy, Üsküdar ve Ümraniye ilçelerinde bulunan 49 ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan 1306 öğretmene uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin algılarının hem genel toplam hem de alt faktörler bazında erkek ve bayan öğretmenler arasında bayan öğretmenlerin lehinde p.01 düzeyinde anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. ABSTRACT It is aimed to analyze the perceptions of the elementary school teachers regarding teaching profession according to different variables. In this relational-survey model research, “Perception Scale Regarding Teaching Profession” and “Teacher Individual Info Form” created by Şişman and Acar (2003) were used to assess the perceptions of the elementary school teachers regarding teaching profession.
