İLKÖĞRETİM İKİNCİ KADEME ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN OKULLARINA YÖNELİK BEKLENTİ VE MEMNUNİYET DÜZEYLERİ

Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin, okullarına yönelik beklenti ve memnuniyet düzeyleri, bu iki düzey arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi, beklenti ve memnuniyet düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, tarama modelinde tasarlanmıştır. Bulgular, öğrencilerin okullarına yönelik beklenti ve memnuniyet düzeylerinin birbirine yakın ve yüksek olduğunu; erkek öğrencilerin kız öğrencilere oranla daha yüksek beklenti ve memnuniyet düzeyine sahip olduğunu; 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin hem beklenti hem de memnuniyet düzeylerinin 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerine oranla daha yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Öğrenciler öğrenim gördükleri okullarından öğretmen, ders, okul içi etkinlikler ve okul çevresi anlamında bazı beklentiler içersindedirler. Bu beklentilerin karşılanması hem öğrenciler hem de okulun akademik başarısı açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu durumdan dolayı öğretmenlerin hem okul içi hem de okul dışı etkinliklerde öğrencilerin ilgi ve ihtiyaçlarını göz önünde bulundurmaları gereklidir. Ayrıca okul yönetimi, okulun fiziki durumunu öğrencilerin isteklerine cevap verecek şekilde düzenlemelidir.

EXPECTATION AND SATISFACTION LEVELS OF STUDENTS OF SECOND STEP OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS FROM THEIR SCHOOLS

In this research that has been designed within survey model, it is purposed to define expectation and satisfaction levels of students of second step of primary schools from their schools, the relationship between these two levels, and if levels of expectation and satisfaction differ from each other by some variables. The expectation and satisfaction levels of students are close to each other and very high; male students have higher levels of expectation and satisfaction than the female students; 6th grade student’s expectation and satisfaction levels are higher than 7th and 8th grades students. The students have some expectations from their school in terms of teacher, class, in-school activities and school environment. To answer these expectations is to be very important in terms of the academic success of the students and the school. On account of this situation, trainers should regard the students interests and needs in the period of both internal and external activities. Besides, the school management should regulate the physical conditions of school in terms of meeting the students’ needs.
