TURIZM EGITIMI ALAN LISE ÖGRENCILERIN OKUMA ALISKANLIKLARININ BELIRLENMESI

Bu çalismada Alanya Ümit Altay Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Lisesi ögrencilerinin kitap okuma aliskanliklarinin belirlenmesi ve buna etki eden degiskenlerin saptanmasi amaçlanmistir. Arastirmada betimsel ve bagintisal arastirma modeli uygulanmistir. Veri toplama araci olarak anket teknigi kullanilmistir. Toplanan verilerin yüzde-frekans ve ki-kare analizleri ile degerlendirilmesi sonucunda ögrencilerin okumaya ayirdiklari günlük sürenin oldukça düsük oldugu saptanmistir. Buna karsin ögrencilerin günlük müzik dinlemeye ve televizyon izlemeye ayirdiklari sürenin çok fazla oldugu belirlenmistir. Arastirma sonuçlarina göre ögrencilerin okuma aliskanligina etki eden degiskenlerin, ögrencilerin egitim memnuniyeti, sinif göre dagilim, günlük gazete okuma aliskanligi, okumaya ayrilan süre, ögrencilerin egitimcilere karsi tutumu ve kütüphane kullanim aliskanliklarinin oldugu görülmüstür. DETERMINATION OF READING HABITS OF TOURISM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The purpose of this study is to determine the reading habits of students and to identify the variables that influence the reading habits of students at Alanya Ümit Altay Anatolian Hotel and Tourism Vocational High School. In this study, descriptive and connective research model was used. Survey technique was used as data collection tool. Frequency tables and Chi-Square tests were used to analyze the collected data. The results of the analysis indicated that the daily time of students for reading was very low. But, the results indicated that the daily time of students for listening music and watching TV was very high. According to the research results, educational satisfaction, class distribution, daily newspaper reading habit, the time allocated to reading, attitudes to educators and library using time were the main variables which had an influence on the reading habits of students.
