FEN VE TEKNOLOJİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN YETERLİLİKLERİ

Bu çalışmada, Öğretmenlik uygulaması için ilköğretim okullarına uygulama eğitimine giden öğretmen adaylarının fen ve teknoloji öğretmenlerini yeterli bulup bulmadıkları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Anketler, 2007–2008 eğitim öğretim yılında Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretmenliğinde öğrenim gören birinci ve ikinci öğretim son sınıf öğrencisi toplam 89 öğretmen adayına uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verileri homojenlik testi (Levene Statistic), Scheffe t testi ile LSD testi, Kruskal Wallis testi (KW) ile Mann Whitney U testi (MWU) uygulanmıştır. Bu testlerden elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretmenlerinin; kişisel ve mesleki gelişim yeterlilikleri, öğrenciyi tanıma sürecindeki yeterlilikleri, öğretme ve öğrenme sürecindeki yeterlilikleri, gelişimi izleme ve değerlendirme süreci, okul, aile ve toplum ilişkileri, program ve içerik sürecine ilişkin bulgular tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Öğretmen adayı öğrenciler, Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretmenlerinin yeterliliklerine ilişkin görüşlerini yansıttıkları maddeleri yeterli bulmaktadırlar.

COMPETENCES OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHERS

In this study, it has been checked whether the candidate science and technology teachers has regarded the teachers as qualified or not in elementary schools. Turkish Ministry of Education’s teacher competency standards has been used in the research. In the frame of these standards, teacher competencies have been examined based on Elementary Science Education students’ observations by using the questionnaires. These questionnaires has been applied on totally 89 candidate science and technology teachers from Fyrat University, Education Faculty, Elementary Department, Elementary Science Education during 2007 – 2008 fall and spring semester. The homogeneity test (Levene Statistic), Scheffe – t and LSD tests, Kruskal Wallis (KW) and Mann Whitney U (MWU) tests have been used for evaluating the gathered data.
