OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ DUYGUSAL ZEKALARI İLE PROBLEM ÇÖZME BECERİLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

YYapılan araştırmalarda, öğretmenlerin kişilik yapılarının eğitim ortamını ve çocuğun gelişimini doğrudan etkileyen bir unsur olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının duygusal zekâ düzeyleri ile problem çözme becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin incelemesidir. Çalışmanın örneklemini Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Buca Eğitim Fakültesi, Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören 100 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, Bar-On tarafından geliştirilen ve Mumcuoğlu (2002) tarafından dil eşdeğerliği yapılan Bar-On Duygusal Zeka Ölçeği ile Heppner ve Peterson (1982) tarafından geliştirilen Problem Çözme Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının toplam duygusal zeka puanları ile problem çözme becerisi puanlarının ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu ve öğretmen adaylarının problem çözme puanları ile duygusal zeka ölçeğinin sadece uyumluluk alt ölçeği arasında pozitif ve anlamlı ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND PROBLEM SOLVİNG SKILLS OF TEACHER CANDITATES

According to the studies that are executed the the teacher’s personality structures are directly related element to the education environment and the child’s development. The aim of this study is to examine the relation between the emotional intelligence level of the candidates of the pre-school education and their problem solving skills. The samples of the study are 100 students in the Pre-school education department in Buca Education Faculty in Dokuz Eylül University. The Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Bar-on and language equivalence was translated by Mumcuo?lu (2002) and Problem solving inventory developed by Heppner and Peterson (1982) was be used. In conclusion, teacher candidates’ emotional intellige scores and problem solving skills scores above average and that the teacher candidates’ problem-solving scores and the emotional intelligence score, only compliance subscale between the positive and significant correlation was observed.
