Bu ara?tyrmada,15–18 ya? grubu ergenlerin giysi seçiminde etkili olan unsurlary ortaya koymak, giysi satyn alma amaçlarynda, markaya önem verme durumlarynda ve arkada?lyk ili?kilerinde giysilerin etkili olma durumuna ili?kin dü?üncelerinde cinsiyetin, sosyo-ekonomik düzeyin ve ya?yn etkili olup olmady?yny belirlemek amaçlanmy?tyr. Ara?tyrma, Kayseri ilinde iki lisede ö?renim gören 15–18 ya?yndaki 320 (160 kyz, 160 erkek) ergen üzerinde yürütülmü?tür. Ara?tyrmada, ergenlerin kendileri ve aileleri hakkyndaki bilgiler ile ergenlerin giysi seçiminde etkili olan etmelere ili?kin bilgiler ara?tyrmacylar tarafyndan olu?turulan anket formu ile elde edilmi?tir. Ara?tyrmanyn sonucunda ergenlerin giysi satyn alma amaçlarynda cinsiyetin anlamly farklylyk yaratmady?y (p>.05), sosyo-ekonomik düzey ve ya?yn anlamly farklylyk yaratty?y saptanmy?tyr(p<.01). Ergenlerin markaya önem verme durumlarynda sosyo-ekonomik düzeyin etkili olmady?y(p>.05),cinsiyet ve ya?yn etkili oldu?u belirlenmi?tir(p<.01,p<.05

FACTORS AFFECTING THE DRESS CHOICE OF ADOLESCENTS AMONG 15-18 AGE GROUP

This study aims at identifying factors affecting the dress choice of adolescents in the 15-18 age group and determining the effectiveness of gender, socio—economic level and life on the purpose of buying clothes, giving importance to brand and their thoughts on the importance of clothes in their friendship relations. Study was conducted on 320 adolescents (160 females, 160 males) in the 15-18 age group, attending two senior high schools in province of Kayseri. Information on the adolescents and their families has been collected with the survey form prepared by the researchers along with the information on the factors affecting dress choice of adolescents. The study revealed that gender did not crease a meaningful difference in terms of the purpose of buying clothes (p>.05) while socio-economic level and age created a meaningful difference (p<.01).
