ŞANLIURFA-SURUÇ OVASI SULAMA PROJESİ

Şanlıurfa-Suruç Ovası Sulama Projesi ile 94.814 ha arazinin sulanması planlanmıştır. Suruç Ovası Sulama Projesi, GAP‘ta hayata geçirilen sulamalarda yaşanan sorunlar ışığında değerlendirilebileceği için daha şanslı bir proje durumundadır. Bu değerlendirmeler için en önemli doğal laboratuar alanı Şanlıurfa-Harran Ovası sulamalarıdır. Sulama ile birlikte Suruç Ovası’nda kuru tarımdan sulu tarıma geçilecek, tarımsal üretim ve gelir de artacaktır. Bu kazanımlar sosyo-kültürel anlamda da önemli değişikliklere yol açacaktır. Bu çalışmada; Suruç Ovası Sulama Projesi ve bu projenin uygulamasında karşılaşılabilecek sorunlar daha önceki deneyimler göz önüne alınarak değerlendirilmiş ve bazı öneriler getirilmiştir. Böylece, önemli kaynakların aktarılmasıyla gerçekleştirilen bu tür projelerde verimliliğin arttırılması ve muhtemel sorunların önüne geçilmesi için oluşturulan ölçütlerin belirlenmesine katkı sağlamak hedeflenmiştir.

SANLIURFA-SURUC PLAIN IRRIGATION PROJECT

94.864 ha land will be irrigated by Sanlyurfa-Suruc Plain Irrigation Project in the GAP ( South Eastern Project ) that is one of the most important projects of our country. The Suruc Plain, because of these properties and soil structure, will be one of the great and important irrigated agriculture lands in the GAP. It is obviously clear that when the socio-economic situtaion of the region is taken into consideration, the implement of irrigation is vital. Considered in light of the problems of implemented irrigations in the GAP, the Suruc Plain has a different significance. The best natural laboratory area for these evalutaions is Sanlyurfa-Harran Plain Irrigations. Thanks to irrigations in Suruc Plain, it will turn into irrigation agriculture from dryland farming, the agricultural yield and income will increase as well.
