HİPOFİZ HORMONU UYGULANMIŞ VE UYGULANMAMIŞ SAZANLARDA (Cyprinus carpio) SPERM ÖZELLİKLERİ

Bu çalışmada hipofiz uygulanmış ve uygulanmamış sazanların sperm özellikleri ortaya konmuştur. Hormon enjekte edilmiş balıkların boy grupları karşılaştırıldığında, motilite, sperm miktarı, toplam spermatozoa, pH ve yoğunluk değerleri bakımından bir bulunmazken, motilite süresi farklı bulunmuştur. Bununla beraber hormon uygulanmamış grupta sperm miktarı ve toplam arasın fark önemli olarak bulunmuştur. Hormon uygulanmış bireylerde toplam spermatozoa ve sperm miktarı (p<0,01), sperm miktarı ve ağırlık arasında (p<0,05) pozitif korelasyon bulunurken, toplam spermatozoa ile ağırlık, boy ve sperm miktarı (p<0,01) arasında, sperm miktarı ile ağırlık ve boy arasında (p<0,01) ve yoğunluk ve toplam spermatozoa arsında pozitif korelasyon bulunmuştur. Çalışmada bir grup balığa 1 mg/kg oranında hipofiz uygulanmış ve hormonun etkisinin artan balık ağırlığı ile azaldığı görülmüştür.

SPERM CHARACTERISTICS OF PITUARITY EXTRACT INJECTED AND NON-INJECTED CARP (Cyprinus carpio)

Sperm characteristics of pituarity extract injected and non- injected carp were investigated in this study. When length groups of pituitary extract injected fish were compared, motility, sperm volume, total spermatozoa, pH and density values were not significantly different, although movement duration were different. However, sperm volume and total spermatozoa were different in non- injected group. While a positive correlation between total spermatozoa and sperm volume (p<0,01), sperm volume and weight (p<0,05) were found in injected males, total spermatozoa with weight, length and sperm volume (p<0,01), sperm volume with weight and length (p<0,01), density with total spermatozoa (p<0,05) positively correlated. 1 mg/kg pituarity extract were injected to one group of fish for the study. However, the effect of hormone seems decreased while fish size increase.
