Bu araştırma ile temel sanat eğitimi derslerinde öğrencilerin bu derse karşı tutumları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Gazi Üniversitesi Mesleki Eğitim Fakültesi Uygulamalı Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Temel Sanat Eğitimi dersi öğrencilere sonraki sınıflarda yapacakları çalışmalara, görecekleri derslere alt yapı oluştururken, öğrencilerin farklı malzemeler ve teknikler kullanarak yaratıcılığını geliştirmelerine ve sanatın ilke ve elemanlarını kavramalarına yardımcı olur. Araştırmada temel sanat eğitimi dersinin öğrenciler üzerindeki tutum ne ölçüde fayda sağladığı, bu dersin genel ve özel amaçlarının gerçekleştirilme düzeyinin saptanması açısından bu araştırmanın yapılması bir ihtiyaç olarak görülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda, elde edilen bulgulara göre, temel sanat eğitimi derslerinin öğrenci üzerinde çok fazla olumlu tutum geliştiremediği tespit edilmiştir.

It was aimed to determine the attitudes of the students taking the course of basic art education concerning the course through the current study. While the course Basic Art Education at the Department of Applied Arts Education at the Faculty of Vocational Education of Gazi University allows students to form an infrastructure for the studies they aim at studying in the coming grades and in the courses they are going to study, it also help them improve their creativity and comprehend the principles and components of art using different materials and techniques. In the research, to what extent the course of basic art education had a beneficial effect on the attitudes of the students made this study compulsory in terms of determining the level of realization of general and special objectives of this course. Depending on the finding obtained at the end of the research, it was found that the courses of basic art education did not improve so much positive attitude on the students.
