ÖĞRETMENLERİN MESLEKİ GELİŞİMİ: İRLANDA, LİTVANYA VE TÜRKİYE İNCELEMESİ

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İrlanda’da, Litvanya’da ve Türkiye’de öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimini incelemektir. Bu amaçla, öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimi kavramına değinildi; İrlanda, Litvanya ve Türkiye’de öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişiminin görünümüne değinildi; mesleki gelişim konusunda izlenen yaklaşımlar ortaya konuldu; OECD tarafından 2007-2008 döneminde 24 ülkenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen TALIS (Uluslararası Öğretme ve Öğrenme Araştırması) hakkında bilgi verilerek bu araştırmadan ve alanyazın taramasından elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildi; tartışmaya, sonuçlara ve önerilere yer verildi. Bu çalışmanın ortaya koyduğu genel çerçeve, öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerini içeren hizmet içi eğitim, sürekli mesleki gelişim ve öğretmenlerin öğrenimi boyutlarında öğretmen eğitiminin yeniden yapılandırılmasına, bu yönde geliştirilecek politikalara ve stratejilere kaynak teşkil edebilir.

TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: IRELAND, LITHUANIA AND TURKEY ANALYSIS

The aim of this study is to analysis teachers’ professional development in Ireland, Lithuania and Turkey. With this aim, the concept of professional development was determined; the approachments which were followed through professional development were determined; the information related to TALIS (Teaching and Learning International Survey) which was conducted by OECD with the participation of 24 countries in 2007-2008 was given and findings which were received in this research and TALIS were evaluated; discussions, results and suggestions were presented. The general frame of this research in the dimensions of in-service training which included teachers’ professional development, continuing professional development and teacher learning could be source to reconstructing of teacher education and also policies and strategies which would be developed in this way.
