İLKÖĞRETİM OKULLARINDA MATEMATİĞE KARŞI OLUMSUZ ÖNYARGI OLUŞTURAN ETKENLER

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim ikinci kademede okuyan öğrencilerin matematiğe karşı olumsuz önyargıları oluşturan etkenleri belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Aydın’ın Söke ilçesindeki bir ilköğretim okulunda 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarda okuyan 9 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem oluşturulurken her sınıftan matematikte başarı düzeyi düşük, orta ve yüksek olmak üzere 3 er öğrenci seçilmiştir. Veri toplama aşamasında klinik mülakat yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin her birine önceden hazırlanmış olan 10 soru sorulmuş ve cevapları teybe kaydedilerek analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, sıkıcı ödevler, öğretmen, sınıf ortamı ve aile gibi etkenler ilköğretim ikinci kademede okuyan öğrencilerin matematiğe karşı olumsuz önyargılarını oluşturan etkenler arasında bulunmaktadır.

THE FACTORS WHICH FORM NEGATIVE PREJUDICES AGAINST MATHEMATICS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors which form negative prejudices against mathematics of the primary schools students. Sample of the study consist of 9 students which selected from 6th, 7th and 8th grades in a primary school in Söke (within Aydın). While forming the sample, 3 students have been selected from every grade which has low, middle and high mathematics success. Clinical interview method was used for collecting data. 10 questions have been asked for every student and analyzed after recording to tape. According to the results of the study, boring homework, teacher, classroom atmosphere and family are in the factors which form negative prejudices against mathematics of the primary schools students.
