Çalışma, Türkiye’deki devlet üniversitelerinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının Kamu Personeli Seçme Sınavı’ndan dolayı oluşan stresle başa çıkma yöntemlerini belirlemek amacıyla, tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Veriler Stresle Başa Çıkma Ölçeği ile toplanmış, analizinde frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalamalar, Kay-kare, t-testi yapılmıştır. Öğretmen adayları stresle başa çıkma yöntemlerinden “stres yaratan durumu düşünmemeye çalışmak, boş vermek; olay veya durumun üstüne gitmek; daha kötü olabilirdi diye düşünmek; aile fertleri ve dostlarla birlikte olma; kültürel ve sportif etkinlikleri izlemek; yetenekli olunan alanda etkinlik göstermeye; alış-verişe; ibadet etmeye†orta derece başvurdukları görülmüştür. This study was carried out using the scanning method in order to detect the methods of coping with stress that occurs due to the public personnel selection examination (KPSS) of pre-service teachers studying at state universities in Turkey. Data was gathered using a Scale of Effect of Stress on Performance. Analysis was based on frequency, percentages, arithmetic mean, chi-square and t-test. Pre-service teachers apply these methods of coping with stress at medium level: “trying not to think about the situation causing stress, disregarding, dealing with the situation or event, thinking that it may be worse, meeting with the family members and friends, watching cultural and sportive activities, acting in the field they are talented, shopping, praying.†It was found that there is no meaningful relationship between the coping with stress and gender, education institutions, education statues, family incomes and university pleasure; there is a meaningful relationship between
