Bu çalışma, müzik öğretmenlerinin ortaöğretimde eğitim ve öğretimin gerekliliklerini yerine getirirken karşılaştıkları sorunları, haftalık ders saatlerine ilişkin düşünceleri bağlamında değerlendirmeyi hedefler. Bu amaçla rastlantısal örneklem yolu ile belirlenen 242 müzik öğretmenine uygulanan anketle elde edilen verilerin frekans ve yüzdelik analizleri, SPSS programı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. İstatistiksel analizler, aritmetik ortalamalar üzerinden bağımsız değişkenlere tek yönlü varyans analizi (Anova) ve t-testi uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda istatistiksel olarak; okul türü, okulda müzik dersliği ve materyali olup olmaması ve yaş değişkenlerinde anlamlı fark (p<0,05) olduğu tespit edilir. Öğretmenin eğitim düzeyi, medeni durumu, görev yeri, görev süresi ve cinsiyeti değişkenlerinde ise fark anlamlı bulunmamıştır (p>0,05).

This research is performed to evaluate the problems music teachers face while executing the necessity of high school training and education in the context of music teachers’ toughts about the weekly hours of the music course. For this aim, the frequency and percentage analysis of the data gathered from this survey which is applied to 240 music teachers chosen by simple random sampling selection is performed by using SPSS. Statistical analysis is performed by using one directional variance analysis (Anova) and t-test by arithmetic average to independent variables. As a result of this research, while there is statictically meaningful correspondence between the kind of high school, age and the availability of the music classroom (p<0,05) there is no meaningful correspondence between the teachers’ education level, marital status, sex, duty location and duty period variables (p>0,05).
