ÇOCUK VE ERGENLER İÇİN SOSYAL DESTEK ÖLÇEĞİNİN TÜRKÇEYE UYARLANMASI

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Malecki, Demaray ve Elliot tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Sosyal Destek Ölçeği”nin Türkçeye uyarlanmasıdır [1]. Çalışma, İstanbul’da bulunan 11 ilköğretim okulunda yürütülmüştür. Çalışmaya ilköğretim 5.,6., 7. ve 8. sınıflardan 754 kız, 763 erkek, toplam 1517 öğrenci katılmıştır. Dilsel eşdeğerlik için yapılan İngilizce ve Türkçe uygulamalarda anlamlı (p=.00, p<.01)korelasyon değerleri bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini belirlemek için açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular, ölçek maddelerinin her faktörde 12 madde olmak üzere, toplam 5 faktörde toplandığını göstermiştir. Toplam ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayısının ve madde bırakmalı alfa katsayısının 5. ve 6., 7., 8. sınıflarda .96 olduğu görülmüştür. Toplam ölçeğin düzeltilmiş madde-toplam korelasyonları 5. sınıflarda .36 ile .67 arasında değişirken, 6., 7., 8. sınıflarda .35 ile .63 arasında değişmiştir. Test-tekrar test uygulamaları sonucunda, madde, faktör ve toplam ölçek bazında anlamlı (p=.00, p<.01)korelasyon değerlerine ulaşılmıştır.

ADAPTATION OF CHILD AND ADOLESCENT SOCIAL SUPPORT SCALE TO TURKISH

The aim of this study is to adapt the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale, which was developed by Malecki, Demaray and Elliot, to Turkish [1]. The sample included students from 11 elementary schools in Istanbul, Turkey. The sample totaled 1517 elementary students; 754 were girls, 763 were boys from fifth through eighth grades. Pearson’s correlation coefficients between Turkish and English forms of the scale were significant (p=.00, p<.01). In order to examine the factor structure of the scale, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used. The findings showed that scale centered 5 factors consisting of 12 items in each factor. The total internal reliability and Cronbach’s Alfa if item deleted coefficients of scale were .96 for all grades. The corrected item total correlations ranged from .36 to .67 at fifth grades and .35 to .63 at sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. Test-retest reliability coefficients of the items, factors and total scale were significant (p=.00, p<.01).
