İLKÖĞRETİM VE ORTAÖĞRETİM OKULLARINDA VERİLEN MESLEKİ REHBERLİK HİZMETLERİNİN ÇEŞİTLİ DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Bu araştırmanın amacı ilk ve ortaöğretim okullarında görev yapmakta olan psikolojik danışmanların mesleki rehberlik uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşlerini çalıştıkları il, okul düzeyi, mezun oldukları alan, alandaki hizmet süresi ve çalıştıkları okuldaki öğrenci sayısı değişkenlerine göre aralarında farklar olup olmadığını saptamaktır. Bu amaçla araştırma 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılı Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya ve Şanlıurfa illerini kapsayan ilköğretimde görevli 313 ve ortaöğretimde görevli 195 olmak üzere toplam 508 psikolojik danışmanla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Psikolojik danışmanların 230’u (%45.3) kadın ve 278’i (%54.7)ise erkeklerden oluşmaktadır. Değişkenler arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı Chi-Square (kay-kare) test analiz tekniği ile test edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ilköğretim ve orta öğretim okullarında yürütülen mesleki rehberlik çalışmalarının psikolojik danışmanların çalıştıkları illere göre farklılık gösterdiği ancak okul düzeyi, mezun oldukları alan, alanda hizmet süresi ve çalışılan okuldaki öğrenci sayısına göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.

THE ANALYSIS OF CAREER GUIDANCE SERVICES GIVEN IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the views of the counselors working at primary and secondary schools about the career guidance services differ significantly according to some variables including the city where they work, stage of school, field of graduation, career seniority and number of students in the school they work. To this end, the research was conducted on 508 counselors, 313 working in primary schools and 195 working in secondary schools in the provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya and Şanlıurfa during 2009-2010 school year. A total of 230(45.3%) participating counselors were women and 278(54.7%) were men. The possible significant relations between the variables were tested using Chi-Square analysis. As a result of the study, it was found out that the career guidance services differ significantly according to the city where the counselor work, but not according to the stage of school, the field of graduation, professional seniority and number of students in the school they work.
