Bu çalışma, Cumhuriyet öncesi ve sonrası dönemde Türkiye`de aydının nasıl biri olduğunu, Batılı aydından farkının ne olduğunu ve ideal aydını yaratma doğrultusunda Türkiye`nin gelmiş olduğu noktayı açıklayarak günümüzde Türk aydınının nasıl olması gerektiğine dair öngörülerde bulunmaktadır.
