Bu çalışmanın amacı; yeni 10. Sınıf Kimya Dersi Öğretim Programı'nda ilk ünite olarak yer alan “Atomun Yapısı” ünitesi ile ilgili öğretmen görüşlerini ve ünitenin işlenişi sırasında öğretmenlerin yaşadıkları güçlükleri belirlemektir. Araştırmaya Aksaray il merkezinde görev yapan 15 kimya öğretmeni katılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler, 32 soruluk Likert tipi anket aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Ayrıca öğretmenlere ünite ile ilgili farklı görüşlerini ve ünitenin işlenişi sırasında karşılaştıkları güçlükleri ifade etmeleri istenen açık uçlu iki soru yöneltilmiştir. Veriler frekans ve yüzde olarak değerlendirilmiştir

The aim of this study ; is to determine the opinions of the teachers and the difficulties they have had during teaching the subject of the first unit “the structure of atom” ,which was available in the new 10th grade Chemistry curriculum. 15 chemistry teachers ,who are in charge in the province of Aksaray ,participated in the study. The data in the study were picked up by means of the Likert type survey. Furthermore two open-ended questions were directed to the teachers related with their opinions of the about the unit , and the difficulties they have experienced during the flow of the unit. The data were evaluated according to frequency and percentage.
