İLKÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN SEVİYE BELİRLEME SINAVINDAN ALDIKLARI PUANLAR ÖĞRENME STİLİNE, OKUL TÜRÜNE VE CİNSİYETE GÖRE FARKLILAŞMAKTA MIDIR?

Bu çalışmada, İlköğretim öğrencilerinin Seviye Belirleme Sınavı (SBS)’ından aldıkları puanlarının öğrenme stilleri, okul türüne, cinsiyete göre faklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkeni, öğrencilerin SBS puanları, bağımsız değişkenleri ise öğrenme stilleri, cinsiyet ve okul türü. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, ilköğretim 6 ve 7. sınıflarında öğrenim gören ve bir SBS hazırlık dershanesine devam eden 1404 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçlarını, Willis ve Hodson (1999) tarafından geliştirilen öğrenme stilleri envanteri oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin SBS puanları da devam ettikleri dershanenin rehberlik servisinden alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, bağımsız gruplarda t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar; öğrencilerin SBS puanlarının öğrenme stillerine, okul türüne ve göre farklılıklar gösterdiğini ortaya çıkarmıştır.

DO PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ LEVEL ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION POINTS VARY ACCORDING TO LEARNING STYLE, SCHOOL TYPE, AND GENDER?

In this study, variation of primary school students' Level Assesment Examination (SBS) points according to their learning styles, school type, and gender is investigated. The dependent variable of the research is students' Level Assesment Examination (SBS) points while the independent variables are learning styles, school type, and gender. The study group of the research consists of 1404 students in the grades 6 ve 7 who also attend SBS preparation courses. While the data collection instrument of the research is the Learning Styles Inventory developed by Willis and Hodson in 1999, students' SBS points are obtained from the preparation courses. In the analysis of data, independent samples t test and one way ANOVA are used. The results reveal that students' SBS points do vary according to learning styles, school type, and gender.
