SINIF ÖĞRETMENLİĞİ BÖLÜMÜ ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ TOPLUMSAL CİNSİYET ROLLERİNE İLİŞKİN TUTUMLARI

Bu çalışma, sınıf öğretmenliği bölümünde okuyan öğretmen adaylarının toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Zeyneloğlu (2008) tarafından geliştirilmiş “Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçek maddeleri yorumlanırken, maddelere verilen cevapların frekanslarına (f)bakılmış, aritmetik ortalamaların öğretmen adayları için, bağımsız değişkenlerden cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğini hesaplamak için t testi (Independent Sample t Test) uygulanmıştır. Cinsiyet değişkenine göre öğretmen adaylarının toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumlarında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu bulunmuştur [t=9,56; p<.05 (p=.000)]. Öğretmen adaylarının ölçek maddelerine verdikleri yanıtlar sonucunda, özellikle bir takım kültürel ve geleneksel değerlere ilişkin rollerin onlar tarafından önemsendiği ve benimsendiği gözlenilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin maddelere daha çok kendi cinsiyet grubu lehinde tutumlar sergilediği görülmüştür.

ATTITUDES ON GENDER ROLES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER CANDIDATES

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the attitudes of the teacher candidates in the primary school teaching department about gender roles from the point of gender variable. In the research which is descriptive survey method, gender role attitudes scale developed by Zeyneloğlu (2008) has been used as data collection tool. While scale items were being interpreted, the frequencies (f) of responses to the items were examined. The Independent Sample t Test was applied to calculate if arithmetic averages show difference for teacher candidates from independent variables to gender. At the end of the survey, it has been seen that there is a significant difference in the attitudes of the teacher candidates about gender roles according to the gender variant [t=9,56; p<.05 (p=.000)]. It has been seen that the teacher candidates exhibit some attitudes for mostly their own sex group about the items related to the gender roles.
