KAHRAMANMARAŞ’TA REKREASYON ALANLARININ KULLANIMININ SOSYO-EKONOMİK FAKTÖRLERLE İLİŞKİSİ

Akdeniz Bölgesinin Adana Bölümünde yer alan Kahramanmaraş şehri, özellikle 1980’li yıllardan sonra mekansal, sosyo-ekonomik ve nüfus açısından büyük bir gelişme göstermiştir. Şehirde rekreasyon alanlarına, aktivitelerine olan ihtiyaç artmıştır. Bu araştırmada şehir halkının sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri ile şehir içinde rekreasyon faaliyetleri için önemli olan alanlar (aktif yeşil alanlar, sosyo-kültürel merkezler, büyük spor tesisleri) incelenerek halkın bu alanlarla ilgili düşüncesi analitik bir yaklaşımla ortaya konulmuştur. Bu amaçla rekreasyon faaliyetleri üzerinde etkili olduğu düşünülen faktörler hakkındaki bilgiler anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler Ki-kare istatistik yöntemiyle test edilmiştir. Halkın rekreasyonla ilgili düşüncelerini yansıtan istatistiksel sonuçlara göre rekreasyonla sosyo-ekonomik birçok faktör arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunduğu ve şehrin rekreasyonel alanlar açıdan yetersiz olduğu görülmektedir.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE USE OF RECREATIONAL AREAS AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC FACTORS IN KAHRAMANMARAŞ

Kahramanmaraş is located in the Adana subregion of the Mediterranean region. Kahramanmaraş city especially after the 1980s has shown a great development in terms of socio-economic, demographic and the spatial aspects. The recreation area and activity needs of the city residents have increased today. In this study, socio-economic characteristics of the city residents and the areas that are important for recreation activities in the city (active green areas, socio-cultural centers and major sports facilities) were investigated. And aslo, the relationship between the people and recreation and recreational activities was examined by analytical approach. To achieve this aim, the data about the factors which was thought to have an impact on recreational activities was collected by questionnaire. And the data tested by chi-square statistical technique. According to the statistical results which reflect the opinions of the people about recreation, it was seen that there were meaningful relationships between recreation and many socio-economic factors. It was observed that the recreational areas were inadequate in the city.
