BİLGİ VERİCİ METİN YAPILARI ÖĞRETİMİNİN OKUDUĞUNU ANLAMAYA ETKİSİ

Bu araştırma, bilgi verici metin yapıları öğretiminin okuduğunu anlamaya etkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya, 2010-2011 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya/ Kulu 60. Yıl ilköğretim okuluna devam eden 30 deney, 29 kontrol grubunda olmak üzere toplam 59 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırma, yarı deneysel desenlerden, Statik-Grup Karşılaştırma Deseninde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, Deney grubundaki öğrencilere “Açıklama-Tanımlama, Sıralama, Karşılaştırma, Neden-Sonuç ve Problem-Çözüm” türündeki bilgi verici metin yapılarının öğretimi yapılmıştır. Kontrol grubuna ise metin yapıları hakkında herhangi bir öğretim yapılmamış, doğrudan sesli ve sessiz okuma çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubuna ait bilgi verici metin yapılarını okuduğunu anlamaya yönelik anlama puanlarını karşılaştırmak amacıyla t testi kullanılmıştır. İki grubun anlama puanları karşılaştırıldığında, puanlara ilişkin ortalamalar arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı farklılık oluşmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçları, bilgi verici metin yapıları öğretiminin, öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlamalarına etki ettiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

THE EFFECT OF EXPOSITORY TEXT STRUCTURE ON READING COMPREHENSION

This research has been aimed to reveal the effect of expository text structure on reading comprehension. Thirty students in the experiment group and twenty-nine students in the control group,totally fifty-nine students of Kulu 60.Yıl Primary School have attended this research in 2010-2011 Education Year.This research has been conducted in the Static-Group Comparing design of the quasi-experimental design.In this resarch teaching of the expository text constructures such as “Description , Sequence, Comparison ,Causal and effect and Problemand Solution” have been applied to the students in the experiment group.In the conrtol group, there has not been any teaching on text constructure but reading aloud and silent reading exercises have been done. ‘t test’ has been used for comparing the points of the expository text structure of the two groups, the experimental and the control group. When the comprehension points of the two groups are compared,there has been a significant difference in favour of the experiment group. The results of this research have revealed that teaching of the text structure has a great effect on reading comprehension of the students.
