TÜRKÇE ÖĞRETMENİ ADAYLARININ ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNE İLİŞKİN TUTUMLARI VE ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNİ TERCİH NEDENLERİ

Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin tutumlarının ve öğretmenlik mesleğini tercih nedenlerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını Adıyaman Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü Türkçe Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören 82 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemi benimsenerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir anket vasıtasıyla toplanmış ve içerik analizi tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda dördüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının birinci sınıfta öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarına göre daha olumsuz; Türkçe Öğretmenliğinin geleceğine ilişkin algılarının daha karamsar olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

THE ATTITUDES OF TURKISH TEACHER CANDIDATES TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION AND THEIR REASONS FOR SELECTING THE TEACHING PROFESSION

The aim of this study is to examine the Turkish Education teacher candidates` attitudes about the teaching profession and their reasons for selecting the teaching profession. The participants of the study consisted of 82 teacher candidates in Department of Turkish Education at Adiyaman University. Qualitative research methods were adopted in the study. Data for this study was collected through a questionnaire composed of open-ended questions and analyzed through the content analysis technique. According to the study results, it was found that, the fourth grade teacher candidates had attitudes more negative about the teaching profession compare to the first grade teacher candidates; also, their perceptions about the future of Turkish teaching are more pessimistic.
