ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN İKİNCİ YABANCI DİL FRANSIZCANIN(L3) EDİNİMİNDE KULLANDIKLARI ÖĞRENME STRATEJİLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ÇALIŞMA

Bu çalışma, öncelikle üniversite öğrencilerinin ikinci yabancı dil Fransızcanın ediniminde kullandıkları dil öğrenme stratejilerini belirlemek, daha sonra sınıf, cinsiyet, mezun olunan lise türü, birinci yabancı dil İngilizcenin düzeyi ve okul başarısı gibi değişkenlerin bu stratejilerin seçimi üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymak ve son olarak, hem öğrenenlere hem de öğretenlere bu stratejilerin dil sınıfında öğretimi ve kullanımıyla ilgili öneriler sunmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2010-2011 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi Fransızca Öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören 167 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında, Oxford’un(1990) strateji sınıflandırmasından hareketle araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Dil Öğrenme Stratejileri Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. A STUDY ON LEARNING STRATEGIES USED BY UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS WHILE ACQUIRING FRENCH AS A SECOND FOREIGN LANGUAGE

This study is firstly conducted to determine language strategies undergraduate students use while acquiring French as a second foreign language, then to set forth the effect of variables such as class, gender, type of graduated high school, the level of English as a fist foreign language and academic achievement on the selection of these strategies, and terminally, to put forward proposals to both learners and teachers related to training of these strategies into the language classroom. Working group of the research consists in total 167 students in Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, French Language Teaching Department, 2010-2011 academic year.
