Harput Mahallesi, ülkemizin adete açık hava müzesi konumumda olan sit alanlarından birisidir. Tarihi ve kültürel mirasa ev sahipliği yapması münasebetiyle korunup kollanması gerekmektedir. Araştırma kapsamındaki bireylerin çevrelerinde bulunan tarihi ve kültürel varlıklar hakkında farkındalık düzeyinin ne olduğunu saptamak bu çalışmanın temel çerçevesini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın evreni, Elazığ Ticaret ve Sanayi Odası`na bağlı İzzet Paşa Mahallesi, Üniversite Mahallesi ve Harput Mahallesi`nde bulunan esnaflar ile Fırat Üniversitesi öğrencileridir. Söz konusu evrenden tesadüfi örnekleme yoluyla 416 kişi örneklem grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Örneklem grubuna 16 maddelik tutum ölçeği ve diğer sorulardan oluşan anket uygulanarak bu araştırmanın verileri elde edilmiştir. Harput District is one of the protected areas in our country, which is kept, in fact, as an open-air museum. It should be protected because the place hosts a historical and cultural heritage. The main framework of the study consists of identifying what the awareness level of the individuals included is about the historical and cultural assets located at the surroundings. The subjects of the study are the students of the Fırat University, craftsmen at Harput District, İzzetpaşa District and the University District linked to the Elazığ Trade and Industry Chamber. 416 individuals have been selected randomly as the sample group from the mentioned population. The survey data of the study has been obtained by applying an attitude scale of 16 items and an inquiry consisting of other questions. The analysis of the obtained data has been done through SPSS Scale (16 Packet Program) crossly and by obtaining their frequency variance.
