Araştırma, nitel bir araştırma olup, veriler nitel yaklaşımın gerektirdiği bireysel görüşme, mülakat, kaynak tarama ve görüşme formu uygulama yöntemleriyle toplanmıştır. Nitel veri toplama teknikleri ile ele alınan bu araştırmada, müzik performansında dereceli ölçme anahtarı kullanımına ilişkin görüşleri değerlendirebilmek amacı ile çeşitli branşlardan 17 müzik öğretim elemanından oluşan örneklem grubuna görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, öğretim elemanları müziksel performans sınavlarında öğrencinin performansını ölçmek için yazılı bir ölçme aracından yararlanmaksızın nesnel ve istatistiksel bir ölçüm yapmanın “kısmen” mümkün olabileceğini belirtmişlerdir. Dereceli ölçme aracı ile müziksel performans sınavlarında öğrencinin performansının ölçümünün çok büyük oranda sistematik, güvenilir, geçerli ve kullanışlı duruma getirilebileceği görüşündedirler. Ek olarak, geliştirilecek böyle bir ölçme aracının yer aldığı bir sınav sisteminin düzenli olarak kullanılması da büyük ölçüde önemli görülmektedir ve ayrıca söz konusu özelliklerde bir ölçme aracının zamanı iyi kullanmak bakımından da büyük ölçüde elverişli olacağı görüşünü paylaşmışlardır.

The research was a qualitative research and the data were collected by means of individual interview, interview, source screening and interview form application methods required by qualitative approach. In this research, which is dealt with by qualitative data collection techniques, in order to evaluate the opinions about the use of the graduated measuring key in the music performance, interview form was applied to the sampling group composed of 17 music instructors from various branches. According to the results of the research, the instructors were asked to evaluate the performance of the student in musical performance exams; they stated that it would be possible "partly" to make an objective and statistical measurement without using a scale. They are of the view that the measurement of the performance of the student in musical performance exams with a grade measuring instrument can be brought to a systematic, reliable, valid and useful situation in a very big way. In addition, the regular use of an examination system for such an instrument to be developed seems to be of great importance, and they have also shared the view that a measuring instrument in the particular context would be largely favorable in terms of good use of time.
