Bu araştırmada, alanında uzman piyano eğitimcilerinin 4-6 yaş çocukların piyano eğitiminde kullandıkları öğretim yöntemlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, 11 piyano eğitimcisinin görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Araştırmada, veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Piyano eğitimcileri ile yapılan görüşmelerin ses ve görüntü kayıtları incelenmiş, nitel bilgiler elde edilmiş ve görüşme formuna aktarılmıştır. Veriler, ayrıca frekans ve yüzdelik dağılımları belirlenip tablolaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, alanında uzman piyano eğitimcilerinin büyük bir kısmı çocukların piyano eğitimine başlamaları için en uygun yaşın 4-6 yaş olduğunu, her metodun güçlü ve zayıf yönleri olması nedeniyle birden çok piyano metodundan yararlandıklarını, başlangıç piyano çalma tekniği olarak non legato tekniğini uygun bulduklarını, gam öğretimine her elin parmak numaralarının aynı olması sebebi ile, ters açılım yöntemiyle do majör gamından başladıklarını; çocuklara yönelik parçalarda deşifre yöntemi olarak aynı anda çift el deşifre yöntemini daha etkili bulduklarını, sahne performansının çocukların motivasyonunu olumlu etkilediğini ve piyano eğitiminin devamlılığı açısından çok önemli olduğu görüşlerini belirtmişlerdir.

In this study, it is aimed to determine the teaching methods used by piano educators in the field of 4-6 years old children in piano education. In the study, opinions of 11 piano educators were asked. Data was collected using a semi-structured interview form. The audio and video recordings of the interviews with piano educators were examined, qualitative information was obtained and transferred to the interview form. The data, as well as frequency and percentage distributions, were determined and tabulated. According to the findings, the majority of piano educators who are experts in their fields stated that the most suitable age for children to start piano education is 4-6 years, that each method benefited from multiple piano methods due to their strengths and weaknesses. They also found non legato techniques were suitable as the initial piano playing technique, and they started the scale instruction from the major scale with the inverse expansion method because the finger numbers of each hands are the same. They stated that they found the two-hand decoding method more effective at the same time as the decoding method for children and the stage performance positively affects the motivation of the children and is very important for the continuity of piano education.
