Bu araştırmada Türk resminde dini konu alan sanatçıların eserleri ve bu eserlerindeki imgeler sembolik açıdan irdelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmenin yapılabilmesi için öncelikle kaynaklar taranmış, eserlerinde bu konuyu işleyen sanatçıların kimler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen sanatçılarla ilgili önceki yıllarda yazılmış yazılar ve yapılmış röportajlar incelenmiş, seçilen bu sanatçılarla konuyla ilgili yüz yüze yapılan röportajlar sonucunda sanatçıların eserleri işleri hakkında çok yönlü bir bakış açısı oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Basılı kaynaklar incelenerek edinilen bilgiler doğrultusunda sanatçıların bu bağlamdaki eserleri tespit edilmiş ve orijinal eserler üzerinden incelemeler yapılmıştır. Tüm bu araştırmalar ışığında din konulu resimlerde sembol kullanımı, sembolik anlatım unsurları ve izleyici açısından oluşan anlamsal sonuçlar araştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Âdem ve Havva’nın cennetten kovuluşu, insanoğlunun üremesi, kadının doğurganlığı ve bereketi, çamurdan yaratılmış ilk insana da hayat veren toprağın bereketin ve doğurganlığın sembolü olması dini içerikli resimlerde kullanılan sembollerden bir kaçıdır.

In this study, in Turkish painting works of artists who chose religious as the topic and images in these paintings are evaluated in terms of symbolic examined. In order to do this assessment resources are scanned, functioning of this thread in the paintings of the artists who have been found to be. Review articles and interviews written in the previous year related to the artist were detected, a multi-faceted perspective on the work of the artist was trying to establish as a result of face to face interviews about the issue with the selected artists. Artists in line with information obtained by examining the works of printed sources have been identified in this regard and investigations have been made over the original paintings. All these studies use the painting on religious symbols in light of symbolic expression was investigated semantic elements and results made in terms of audience.
