PRODUCTION OF AA5754/B4C COMPOSITE MATERIALS BY THE SEMI-SOLID STIRRING METHOD

Aluminum composites were produced by reinforcing an AA5754 aluminum alloy with B4C particles. The semi-solid stirring and low-pressure solidification methods were used to produce AA5754/B4C composites, and the mechanical characteristics of the samples that were obtained were determined by three-point bending and compression tests. Additionally, microstructure examinations were made by SEM, EDS and XRD, and the sucsesfull producibility of the B4C reinforced aluminium composites with the method that was used was seen.
