Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin profesyonel benlik kavramını; özgüven ve sosyal sorun çözme becerisinin yordama düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, Aydın Sağlık Yüksekokulu 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında eğitim görmekte olan 198 birinci sınıf, 110 dördüncü sınıf olmak üzere toplam 308 kişiden oluşmuştur. Araştırmada olasılıksız örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya gönüllü olarak, birinci sınıftan 86, dördüncü sınıftan 54 olmak üzere toplam 140 öğrenci örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Veriler, kişisel bilgi formu, Profesyonel Benlik Kavramı Ölçeği, Sosyal Sorun Çözme Envanteri Öğrenci Hemşirelerde Profesyonel Benlik Kavramı Ölçeği ve Özgüven Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, bağımsız örneklemler t-testi, çoklu regresyon analizi ve korelasyon kullanılmıştır. Bireylerin sosyal sorun çözme becerileri ve özgüven düzeyleri arttıkça profesyonel benlik algı düzeyleri de artmakta olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, özgüven ve sosyal sorun çözme becerisi değişkenlerinin profesyonel benlik kavramı üzerinde anlamlı düzeyde yordayıcı oldukları görülmüştür. Hemşirelik eğitiminin yeniden gözden geçirilmesi ve profesyonel kimliğin oluşmasına yönelik yeni düzenlemelerin yapılması önerilmiştir.

The study aims to determine the professional self-conception of nursing students and the level of predicting self-confidence and social problem solving skill. Target population of the study consisted of a total of 308 students, 198 freshmen and 110 senior, receiving education at Aydın Health High School in the school year of 2015-2016. The study was conducted using improbable sampling method. The sample consisted of a total of 140 students, 86 freshmen and 54 senior. The data were collected using personal information form, Professional Self-Conception Scale, Social Problem Solving Inventory and Self-Confidence Scale for Nursing Students. The data were evaluated using independent samples t-test, multiple regression analysis and correlation. As individuals' social problem solving skills and self-confidence levels increase, their professional self-perception levels increase. It was seen that self-confidence and social problem solving skill were among important variables in predicting professional self-conception. It is recommended to review nursing education and make new arrangements to form a professional identity.
