Bu çalışmanın amacı okul müdürü görüşlerine göre okul ve aile iş birliğinde yaşanan sorunların belirlenmesi ve bu sorunların giderilmesine yönelik çözüm önerilerinin geliştirilmesidir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi ve durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri açık uçlu anketle elde edilmiş ve bu verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veriler nicel olarak sunulmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Rize ilinde görev yapan 50 okul müdürü oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre okul ve aile iş birliği sürecinde dört kategoride sorunlar tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar en büyükten en küçüğe doğru sırayla; veliye, ulaşıma, öğrenciye ve okula bağlı nedenlerdir. Ayrıca okul ve aile iş birliğine yönelik sorunların en etkin çözümünün okul ile ailenin bire bir görüşmesi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu süreçte, okulu benimsetme ve sahiplenme amacı önemsenmelidir. Çalışma sonunda, aileyi sürece katacak ve sahiplenmeyi sağlayacak iş birliği girişimlerinin ayrıntılı olarak araştırılması önerilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to determine the problems experienced in parent-school association according to the opinions of the school principals and to develop solutions. Qualitative research method and case study design were engaged in the study. The data of the study was obtained by open-answer questionnaire and content analysis method was used in the analysis of these data. The data is presented quantitatively. The study group consists of 50 school principals working in Rize province. According to the results of the study, four categories of problems were identified in the process of parent-teacher cooperation. These are respectively: parents, transportation, students and school in order of importance. It was concluded that the most effective solution of the problems related to parent- parent-school association was a one-to-one meeting with the parents. During this process, the aim of accepting and sense of ownership in the parent’ towards the school should be prioritised. At the end of the study, it was proposed to research in detail with parent-school cooperation initiatives that will involve the family in the process and ensure sense of ownership.
