Enerji, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefine ulaşmada oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Özellikle fosil temelli yakıtların toplumların enerji ihtiyacını karşılamada kullanılması önemli ekonomik, çevresel ve sosyal sorunlara yol açmaktadır. Bu açıdan bakıldığında hidrojen enerjisi bu problemlerin çözümünde önemli bir alternatif olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bir enerji taşıyıcısı olan hidrojenin geleceğin enerji senaryolarında önemli bir yere sahip olacağı beklenmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, sürdürülebilir kalkınma enerji ilişkisi değerlendirilmeye ve hidrojen enerjisi ile hidrojen ekonomisi kavramları tanıtılmaya çalışılmaktadır.

Energy has great importance in achieving sustainable development goal. Especially utilization of fossil-based fuels used to meet energy needs of societies lead to serious economical, ecological and societal problems. Nowadays, hydrogen energy is seem to be an alternative to the solutions of cited problems. Furthermore hydrogen is expected to have an important role in future of energy scenarios. In this context, in this paper it is tried to examine sustainable development and energy nexus and hydrogen energy and hydrogen economy concepts introduced.
