Yapılan araştırmalarda bebeğin giyiminin büyümesi, gelişmesi ve psikolojisi üzerinde önemli etkileri olduğu görülmüştür. Rahat, her şeyden önce ergonomik, temiz ve zevkli giydirilmiş bir çocuğun kendine olan güven duygusu artmakta, daha mutlu ve neşeli olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bebeklerin giysi modelleri, kumaşları, aksesuarları ve kalıpları büyük önem taşımaktadır. Kalıp ölçüleri, bebeğin bedenine uygun olmalı ve fiziksel olarak rahatsızlık vermemelidir. Bebeklere alışveriş merkezlerinde giysiyi denetmek çok zor, sıkıntılı ve sağlıksız bir işlemdir. Ancak bebeklerin giysileri alınmadan önce deneme şansları yoktur. Bu durum, aileleri bebeklerinin giysilerini yaş veya boya göre satın almak zorunda bırakmaktadır. Bu nedenle giysi ölçülerinin; bebek giysilerinde daha özenli bir şekilde saptanması gerekmektedir.

In recent researches, it has been seen that baby’s clothing has significant effects on its growth, development and psychology. The self confidence of a child who is dressed comfortably, tidily, pleasantly and above all ergonomically , is increasing and all these make him more happy and cheerful. That’s why, the clothing models, fabrics, accessories and patterns for the baby cloth has great significance. The size of the pattern should fit the baby’s body and should not be incomfortable. Having babies try clothes at shoping centers is a difficult, tiresome and unhealty process. That’s why babies do not usually have a chance to try their clothes before purchasing. This inevitably compels families to buy such clothes according to the age and height of their babies. Consequently, it is necessary that cloth measurements be determined more carefully in baby clothes.
