Bu çalışma, Malatya’da üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsellikle ilgili tutumları ve davranışlarını saptamak amacıyla planlanmıştır. Cinsellik hakkında bilgi kaynakları, erkek öğrenciler için en çok internet, kız öğrenciler için ise anne veya kız kardeştir. Kızların %74.5’i, erkeklerin %49.6’sı evlilik öncesi cinsel ilişkiye karşıdır. Öğrencilerin evlilik öncesi cinsel davranışları incelenmiştir. Erkeklerin %42.1’inin, kızların %7.8’inin (p<0.05), birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin %19.6’sının, dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin %32.7’sinin, tüm öğrencilerin %27.1’inin cinsel ilişki deneyimi olmuştur. Cinsel deneyimi olanların %55.7’si son ilişkilerinde kontraseptif bir method kullanmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsel davranış ve tutumlarında cinsiyetlerine göre farklılık saptanmıştır. Erkek öğrencilerde cinsel ilişki sıklığı yüksek olmasına rağmen, kontraseptif yöntem kullanımı düşük bulunmuştur. Üniversite öğrencileri eğitimleri süresince kontrasepsiyon konusunda daha fazla bilgilendirilmelidi

This research was carried out in order to investigate the attitudes and bahavıors of the students on sexuality in Inonu University, Malatya. The research was done with 1202 students, 56.2% of them were boys and 43.8% of them were girls. Information sources of students were mostly “internet” among boys, mostly “mother and sisters” among girls. The 74.5% of the girls and 49.6% of the boys are against to the sexual intercourse before marriage. Pre-marital sexual behaviors of students was identified in our study. It was detected that 42.1% of boys, 7.8% of girls (p<0.05) 19.6% of first grade, 32.7% of fourth grade students (p<0.05) and 27.1% of all the students have experienced sexual intercourse. The 55.7% of the students with the experience of sexual intercourse used contraceptive method during their last sexual intercourse.
