Bu çalışmada, STZ ile diyabet oluşturulmuş ratlarda narçiçeğinin homosistein üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Diyabetten dolayı homosistein değerlerinin anlamlı olarak düştüğü(p<0.05) fakat narçiçeği uygulamasının bu değerlere etkisinin olmadığı (p>0.05) gözlenmiştir. Diyabet hastalarına narçiçeği verilmesinin homosistein değerlerinde herhangi olumlu veya olumsuz etkisinin olmadığı saptanmıştır.

In this study, the effects of flower of pomegranata on homocysteine in the blood are investigated in the STZ-induced diabetic rats. Because of diabetes, homocysteine values were significantly decreased (p <0.05) but had no effect on these values the application of pomegranate flower (p> 0.05) were observed. Administration of pomegranate flower diabetics homocysteine levels were not any positive or negative effect.
