Suça itilmiş çocuklar dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de önemli bir sosyal problem olmaya devam etmektedir. Bireyleri suç işlemeye iten nedenler çok çeşitlidir. Bunlar arasında eğitim yetersizliği, ekonomik ve sosyokültürel sebepler sayılabilir. Çocukların suç işleme nedenlerinin bilinmesi onların yeniden topluma kazandırılması için alınacak tedbirler ve oluşturulacak toplumsal politikalar açısından önemlidir. Bu nedenler bilinerek suçun oluşumunun engellenmeye çalışılması suçla mücadelenin en etkili yoludur. Bu nedenle ailelerin eğitimi ve desteklenmeleri şarttır. Çocukları suça sürükleyen sebepler iyi bilinirse alınacak önlemlerinde o denli etkili olacağına inanıyoruz. Suça sürüklenmiş çocuklarla ilgili yayınlar henüz yeterli değildir. Amacımız suça sürüklenmiş çocuklarla ilgili bilimsel verilere katkıda bulunmaktır.

The children who were committed crime are an important social problem in our country like in the world. The reasons which induced individuals to do a crime are various. It can be listed that educational insufficiency, economic and sociocultural reasons are among this. Knowing the reasons of children committing crime is important in terms of preventive measures which make them re-socialized and social politics which will be formed. Striving to prevent committing crime as knowing this reasons is the most effective method in contending with crime. For this reason the education and support of families are condition. We believe that if we know the reasons inducing children to do a crime thoroughly, than the measures will be more effective. Publications about the children who were committed crime are not sufficient yet. Our aim is making support to the scientific data about the children committed a crime.
