Bu çalışmada, Hazar Gölü balıkçılarının sosyo-ekonomik ve sosyo demografik özellikleri araştırıldı. 2016-2017 avcılık döneminde 13 kişiyle yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile anket uygulaması gerçekleştirildi. Balıkçılar 25-65 yaş aralığında olup, %53.84’ü ilkokul mezunu, %30.76’ı ortaokul mezunu, %15.38’i okur-yazar oldukları tespit edildi. Balıkçıların %92.30’u evli, %7.69’u bekar oldukları, evli balıkçıların %15.38’inin çocuk sahibi olmadığı belirlendi. Balıkçıların bu mesleği seçme nedenleri arasında %23.07’sinin baba mesleği olmasından dolayı, %46.15 işsizlikten, %30.76 ek iş olarak tercih ettikleri tespit edildi. Aylık gelirlerinin %23.07’si 1000-1999TL arasında, %53.84’ünün 2000-2999TL arasında, %23.07’sinin 3000-3999TL arasında olduğu hesaplandı. Çalışma sonucunda bölge balıkçısının pazarlama probleminin olmadığı fakat sosyo-ekonomik olarak istenilen düzeyde olamadıkları tespit edildi.

In this study, the socio-economic and socio-demographic characteristics of fishermen in Lake Hazar were investigated. The raw data of the survey was realized by questionnaire through face to face interview with 13 fishermen in the 2016-2017 fishing season. Fishermen has been identified between 25 to 65 in age, 53.84% of them are primary education graduates, 30.76% are secondary school graduates 15.38% are with no primary education. It has been confirmed that 92.30% of fishermen are married, 7.69% of them are single. 15.38% of the married fisherman have no children. The reasons fot their selection fisheries are determined as follows 23.07% of them informed that they choose this job as their father's occupation and 46.15% of them due to the unemployment, 30.76% of them addition income. The average monthly income of 23.07% has been reported as TL1000-1999, 53.84% as TL2000-2999 and 23.07% as TL3000-3999. In conclusion, it has been determined that fisherman have no problems for selling fish that are caught. However, life standards of the fishermen are not still at satisfactory level.
