Renk görsel algılama da önemli bir yere sahiptir ve tasarım ögeleri içerisinde etkin bir söylevi bulunmaktadır. Renkleri doğru ve etkili kullanmanın yöntemlerinden biri de renk armonilerinin kullanımıdır. Renk armonilerinin doğru kullanımı doğrultusunda estetik olguya da ulaşılabilmektedir. Sanatçılar, tasarımcılar ve sinema yönetmenleri görselleri tasarlarken ya da kurgularken temel renk armonileri olan ton armonisinden, yakın renk armonisinden ve zıt renk armonisinden yararlanmaktadırlar. Bu makalede; renk bilgisi ve temel renk armonileri anlatılarak, sanat alanından, tasarım alanından mimarlık, iç mimarlık, grafik, moda ve sinema alanında eserlerin görsel taraması yapılmıştır. Elde edilen örnekler doğrultusunda sanat tarihinden, tasarım tarihinden ve sinema tarihinden eser görsellerinde temel renk armonilerinin kullandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda örnek görseller üzerinden temel renk armonilerinin nasıl kullanıldığı da netleştirilmektedir.

Colours have an important place at the visual perceptions and they have also some effective qualities among the items of design units. Harmony of colours is the unique way of using colours in the right and useful way: thus asthetic phenomenon can be achieved as well. Artists, designers and film directors use some basic palette of colour harmonies as well as close and contrast palette of colour harmonies while designing and constructing some visual items.in this article some works of architecture, graphics, fashion and cinema were scanned by means of mentions of knowledge of colours and close and contrast palette of colour harmonies. with the help of some conclusions of instances, it is clearly observed that some basic palette of colour harmonies were used at a large scale through works of visuals of history of arts, design and cinema.in this context, the usage of some basic palette of colour harmonies were cleared by means of some examples of visual elements.
