ÖZET Bu çalışma, eğitim kurumlarında çalışan yöneticilerin örgütsel küçülmeye ilişkin düşüncelerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda küçük okulların öğrencilere, öğretmenlere ve çalışanlara daha fazla fayda sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca okul yöneticilerinin yönetsel kademe azaltmanın performansı yükseltip ve verimliği artırdığı, takım çalışmasını geliştirdiği sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Yöneticilerin okullarında yönetsel kademe azaltma uygulamalarında verim ve memnuniyet ile daha iyi tutum davranış ve çalışma sağlandığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bununla beraber performansı, müfredat dışı faaliyetlere katılımı ve öğrencilerin başarılarını artırdığı, öğretmenlerin planlama ve inceleme uygulamalarına isteyerek katılımını, daha fazla öğrenciyle daha fazla ilgilenmelerini ve okul organizasyonunda daha etkili ve uygun idare sağlandığı sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.

This study was made in order to determine the opinions of the educational institution administrators about organizational downsizing. In the result of this study, it is determined that the minor schools provide more benefits to students, teachers and the employees. Besides, it is appeared that the school administrators’ minimizing administrative positions increases the performance and productivity and improves the team work. It is appeared that better attitudes, behaviors and works are provided with the productivity and the gladness in the applications of the school administrators’ minimizing administrative positions in their schools. In addition, it is appeared that this application increases the performance, attendance to activities out of the curriculum and the achievements of the students; and it provides that the teachers attend the applications of planning and observing willingly, that they take more care of more students and that more effective and appropriate administration at
