İnternet, dünya üzerinde sadece milyonlarca bilgisayarı birbirine bağlayan bir ağ olmayıp aynı zamanda milyonlarca insanı, binlerce sosyal grubu da bağlayan bir ortamdır. Bu ortamda, insanların istediği bilgiye ulaşması, farklı kültürel ve sosyal gruplar kurması, çeşitli paylaşımlar oluşturmasını ve birbirleri ile iletişime geçmesini sağlayan araçlar sosyal ağ olarak ifade edilmektedir. Günümüzde çok yaygın bir kullanım alanına sahip olan sosyal ağlar, insanları hem olumlu hem de olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada, Fırat Üniversitesi Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi Bilgisayar Öğretmenliği Bölümü öğrencilerinin sosyal ağları kullanma seviyeleri incelenmiş ve sosyal ağların öğrencileri ne derecede etkilediği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla öğrencilere bir anket formu yöneltilmiş ve elde edilen verilere veri madenciliği tekniklerinden biri olan birliktelik kuralı uygulanarak bazı kurallar elde edilmiştir.

Internet is not only a network that connects millions of computers all around the world, but also an environment which connects millions of people and thousands of social groups. In this environment, accessing knowledge, constructing different cultural and social groups, constructing various sharing and the tools that enables to connect each other can be defined as social network. Nowadays, social networks are really common and they affect people in negative or positive perspective. In this study, the accessing level of the students of the Firat University, Computer Teaching Department to these social networks is examined and the effect of these social networks on students is detected. So, we constructed a questionnaire form and we applied this questionnaire to the students and we then construct several rules based on the association rules which a data mining technique.
