Bu araştırmanın amacı, İlköğretim okulu öğretmenlerinin vizyoner liderliğe ilişkin algılarını belirlemek ve bu algıların bazı değişkenlere göre anlamlı farklılık gösterip göstermediğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir ve 2007-2008 eğitim-öğretim yilında yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini İzmir ilindeki 19 Metropol ilçe 422 devlet ilköğretim okulu ve 13.644 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır.Tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle 19 metropol ilçeden 61 ilköğretim okulu ve 665 öğretmen alınmıştır.Araştırmada ve Sashkin ve Rosenberg tarafından geliştirilen Liderlik Profili Anketi kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda aşağıdaki bulgular elde edilmiştir: Öğretmenlerin vizyoner liderliğe ilişkin algıları büyük ölçüde etkili düzeydedir. Öğretmenlerin vizyoner liderliğe ilişkin algılarının cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı farklılıkgöstermediği belirlenmiştir. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the perceptions of primary school teachers about visionary leadership and differs significantly according to some variables or not with their perceptions about the visionary leadership. The study is a survey type and it was carried out in the academic year of 2007 – 2008.The population of the study consisted of 422 state primary schools in 19 metropolitan districts of İzmir and 13.644 teachers.61 primary schools and 665 teachers from 19 metropolitan districts were taken into the sample with a method of stratified sampling. Leadership profile survey developed by Sashkin and Rosenbach were used in the study. The following findings were obtained.Perceptions of teachers’ about visionary leadership is very great level. the perceptions of the primary school teachers about visionary leadership differ significantly according to their gender.The perceptions of primary school teachers about visionary leadership differ significantly
