Bu araştırmada 1980–2009 yılları arasında Türkiye’de kadın konulu tezlerin nasıl bir dağılım gösterdiği incelenmektedir. Araştırmada elde edilen nitel verilerin çözümlenmesi için betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Zaman zaman düşüşler yaşansa da, kadın konulu tez çalışmalarında 1987-2009 yılları arasında önemli bir artış gözlenmiştir. Tez çalışmaları 2006 yılında en yüksek seviyesine (143) ulaşmıştır. Dil açısından Türkçe tezleri İngilizce tezler izlemekte, yazarlarının büyük çoğunluğunu kadınlar oluşturmaktadır. Tez danışmanlıklarını çoğunlukla profesör unvanına sahip öğretim üyeleri yapmıştır. Ankara, İstanbul ve Hacettepe sırasıyla en çok tezin yapıldığı üniversitelerdir. Ankara Üniversitesi bu alanda ilgili tüm konu başlıklarında tez araştırmalarının yapıldığı tek üniversitedir. Sosyo-kültürel açıdan kadın ile ekonomi ve kadın en çok çalışılan konu başlıkları olmuştur.

In this study it is examined the distribution of dissertations with the theme of woman in Turkey between the years 1980–2009. In the study, for the analysis of qualitative data obtained descriptive analysis technique was used. Although there are decreases from time to time, important increases are observed in the dissertation studies upon women between 1987 and 2009. Dissertation studies reached its peak point in 2006 (143). As a language Turkish dissertations are followed by English dissertations and most of the writers are women. Thesis advisors are most of the time academic member with the rank of professor. Ankara, Istanbul and Hacettepe are the universities in which the most dissertations are prepared respectively. Ankara is the only university in which dissertations are prepared upon all the topics of this area. The most studied titles of subjects are women in the sense of socio-culture and economy and women.
